Part – 1 – OSHA, The Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Administrator, 16- Hours

OSHA – Manatory, 29 CFR 1910.134 (c)(3) – The employer shall designate a program administrator who is qualified by appropriate training or experience that is commensurate with the complexity of the program to administer or oversee the respiratory protection program and conduct the required evaluations of program effectiveness. This 16-hour class is part of a 24 hour Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Administrator and Qualified Fit Test Operator Respiratory Protection Courses. These courses are designed for individuals who may design, develop, implement, administer, perform respirator fit testing and substane a respirator protection program. This course will help participants develop and maintain a respiratory protection program that exceeds all state and federal regulations. After completion of the course and post test, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion title “ Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Administrator”

This course has been approved for Continuing Education Hours by The University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health

Part 2 – ASSE/ANSI Z88.10 – 5 2015, ASTM Working – Qualifications of Fit Test Operators, 8 to 16 – Hours
ASSE/ANSI Z88.10 – 5 2015, ASTM Working – Qualifications of Fit Test Operators, Fit test operators shall be professionally trained and demonstrate proficiency in the fit test method(s) being used. The respiratory protection program administrator is responsible for evaluating and verifying the training and qualification of operators. The respiratory protection program administrator is responsible for evaluating and verifying the training and qualification of operators. Program administrators may wish to consider the benefits of formal training programs from outside providers for fit test operators. This 8-hour Hands On class is part of a 24 hour Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) Administrator and Qualified Fit Test Operator Respiratory Protection Course, designed for individuals who may design, develop, implement, administer, perform respirator fit testing and substane a respirator protection program.
This course will help participants develop and maintain a respiratory protection fit testing program that exceeds all state and federal regulations. After completion of the course and post test the student will receive a Certificate of Completion title “Qualified Fit Test Operator”.

All our instructors are FEMA/DHS Certified Subject Matter Experts instructing at the Center for Domestic Preparedness CORBRA live agent training facility specializing in respiratory protection.

Dr. Terpin is the Retired Amoco Chemicals Fire Chief, Senior Industrial Hygienist and Emergency Manager at The
University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Dennis served as Deputy Commander of the University’s Emergency Response
Team and Safety Officer for the University Incident Management Team. Some of the roles Dr. Terpin have
performed during his 50-year career in the safety and emergency management fields include World Trade Center
9/11 responder, safety manager, fire chief, paramedic, rescue specialist, Ebola Team Author and trainer and
Homeland Security/FEMA certified Master Level instructor (CDP and EMI). Dr. Terpin serves on the ASTM F23.65

International Protective Clothing and Respiratory Protection Committees.
Dr. Terpin is the recipient of 2014, Illinois Emergency Management Agency-Emergency Management Achievement Award, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 – Gold Level DHS/FEMA/Center for Domestic Preparedness Excellence (in the indirect Training Program) Instructor awards and three Center for Domestic Preparedness 5.0 Perfect Instructor Awards.

Kenneth Allison has been a consultant instructor with the Center of Domestic Preparedness since 2004 specializing in class instruction and public speaking in such subjects as WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction), ICS (Incident Command Systems), EMS (Emergency Medical Services), RP (Respiratory Protection) and other subject matters.
Mr. Allison retired in 2005 with over 30 years of experience from the Oregon State Police reaching the rank of Lieutenant. His experience spanned from field trooper to supervisor, to manager. It also included core State Police Instructor in EMS and WMD subjects. He was a supervisor on the State Police Disaster Response Team (DRT), EMT, Respiratory Programs Team
Leader, WMD Response Team on the Decontamination Unit (DECON). Mr. Allison was granted affiliate faculty member status at Oregon State University. Instructor awards include three Center for Domestic Preparedness 5.0 Perfect Instructor Awards.
